 A few days before Easter and Elisa of Clifton Springs was in the Kyalite State Forests, anticipating a wonderful relaxing few days on the Edwards. When Hubby said he was going up to the Kyalite Boat Ramp to get the boat, well  why not?
Why Not indeed. Cars do float but only just long enough to get out into some really deep water. Then you have to ring a vehicle recovery Service and a Deep Water diver to hook-up.

                
Yep going to need the air hose its deep cold and dark down  there.

               

That’s looks like a car wireless ariel?               Yep ‘tis complete with a car and boat trailer.   

           

              

Elisa could finally see the funny side of it and even laughed when some unforgiving FORD    
Fanatic remarked that it was “only a Holden anyway”.

AND THEN THERE WAS ANOTHER…
On Friday 20th November the wise fathers from St Francis school in Bendigo arrived at Kyalite for a Dad’s weekend away – and were they ready to party.
  However the whole job got a bit of a slow down when the little Hi-Lux was going down the boat ramp. Because it just kept going and going and going and……

  A long wait till Saturday afternoon, when the diver and rescue vehicle turned up. During that time didn’t the other customers at the Pub hear all the excuses. The ute stalled, it floated, the handbrake was not working, the boat r amp was too steep etc etc
Think the driver just got it wrong, anyway it all ended well.
